Hyperflex is a hyper-converged infrastructure (solution) offered by Cisco.
Hyperconvergence: represents a major simplification of the way in which the computing and storage resources are consumed, with the role of consolidating the entire DC infrastructure into a single resource reservoir, which can be allocated dynamically, automatically.
Why Hyperflex:
Hyperflex Infrastructure Solution is developed on Cisco UCS servers (leading product on the US market for blade x86 servers and second in the world), with integrated networking – Cisco Fabric Interconnect, and the storage area is managed with an innovative software solution – defined HX Data Platform. Hyperflex supports virtualization with VMware or MS Hyper-V.
One of the main competitive advantages of the new Cisco product is that it offers a high level of flexibility and scalability, adding resources to the storage or processing area not imposing the purchase of additional equipment, but only adding the necessary elements in the chassis. Being designed on the plug-and-play system, HyperFlex can be configured and scaled quickly, reducing start-up time to minutes.
- The HX platform integrates advanced inline deduplication and compression capabilities that allow data volumes to be reduced by up to 80%, as well as cloning, snapshot and restore solutions, as well as native replication between two geographically separated locations, features that increase the availability level of data.
- In the past, you used to buy servers, storage and networking solutions separately. Integration was an additional effort.
- Now, we present a hyper-converged solution – Cisco Hyperflex, which promises to deliver the new concept “datacenter in a box”: computing, storage and networking combined into one solution. Cisco Hyperflex is the only one in the market that automates the network and enables independent scaling of computing and storage solutions.
- Positioned under the title “Data Center in a box”, the Cisco HyperFlex system is currently delivered in three configuration versions, offering a simplified licensing system.
