Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud 

Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (Amazon EC2) is a web service that offers processing capability in AWS. The purpose of this service is to simplify access for programmers who want to develop globally accessed applications.

The Amazon EC2 service interface is easy to use and allows you to access the required capacity configuration without headaches. Provides full control of processing resources and allows applications to run in the environment already tested by Amazon. Reduces the time it takes to get and boot new server instances in just minutes, allowing for a rapid scaling of capacity, both up and down, depending on the evolution of requirements. Amazon EC2 changes the economy of processing power by offering the ability to pay only for the capacity utilized. Amazon EC2 provides developers with the tools to build and test applications, but also isolate them in secure environments.

ELASTIC WEB-SCALE COMPUTING

Amazon EC2 lets you increase or decrease capacity in minutes, not hours or days. You can have one, hundreds or even thousands of servers at the same time, or you can use Amazon EC2 Auto Scaling to maintain the EC2 fleet so that it automatically scaling up or down as needed in order to keep that performance at maximum concurrently with minimal costs. To scale up more services, you have at your disposal AWS Auto Scaling.

FLEXIBILITY

There are multiple types of instances, operating systems and service packs to choose from. Amazon EC2 allows you to choose the desired memory configuration, CPU & lt; storage, boot partition size for the operating system and selected applications. For example, many operating system options include Linux and Microsoft Windows Server distributions.
